Blissful Festive Season at Baros Maldives

During this season of giving, guests at Baros are invited to give something back to nature by planting a coral frame in the Baros coral nursery. Every guest who takes this opportunity to help renew and sustain the precious coral reefs of Baros will receive a report every six months from the resident marine biologists on the progress of the coral frame for two years, until the coral encapsulates the frame.

The Culinary Journey at Baros marks the occasion better than ever with Blissful escapades like dining on our Sandbank underneath a million stars or Jazz and Champagne Dinner. In the evenings, the Baros Palm Garden is transformed into a festive atmosphere with live music and buffet dinners including ‘Grills of The World’ barbecue, ‘Tastes of Asia’, and the ‘Maldivian Experience’ buffet. This follows a Festive Season Cultural Show and Display of Handicrafts, part of the rich heritage of Baros.

During the Festive Season, the iconic Lighthouse Restaurant curates special Gourmet Experiences for guests to celebrate romance and intimacy in a Blissful setting. The Festive Gourmet Gala Dinners on Christmas and New Years’ eve are preceded by a sunset cocktail on our sandbank – exclusively for Lighthouse Guests.

At the Blissful Island of Baros, December is a month of celebration with traditional festivities paired with contemporary events, with the seasonal traditions of our annual Gala Dinner on 24 and 31 December and a Countdown gathering on the Lime Restaurant Deck to ring in the New Year of 2020 in Blissful Baros style.

Guests can also enjoy gourmet dining on the island’s sandbank or on the Piano deck above the lagoon, festive cruises on the island’s traditional sailing dhoni Nooma with champagne as the sun sets, underwater snorkelling or diving in the house reef teeming with marine life, and blissfully relaxing special festive treatments with natural oils in the island’s Serenity Spa.
